WHY DO I LOVE EDITING, WRITING AND READING THE INSIDER?
That is a very difficult question to answer. I mean, how much fun can one have working for no pay, under a limited (read: non-existent) budget, reading articles from many countries about the new laws, business and taxes. Editing the information into something which, hopefully, shouldn’t become a cure for insomnia. The hope is that someone, somewhere in a far corner of the Earth may read it and maybe, just maybe, find semi-interesting.
To boot, I get no feedback. I don’t know who read what or what their opinion is. I am constantly toiling in the dark.
Hey, we all have different writing styles, speak different languages and display various skills. Not to mention that we all come from different cultures with different concepts of understanding life, relationships and business.
In spite of the above, the articles keep coming. Like some slow, lazy river which has found its way through the hills and mountains right into the valley where, I imagine, IGAL INSIDER is. That river is, sometimes, polluted, angry, forceful, weak, beautiful and dangerous.
We, at IGAL INSIDER, try to make it into something which, hopefully, you can understand and relate to. And, even like.
Personally, it is a “high” for me. Better than any drug or alcohol or some potent combination of both.
Through the INSIDER I get a window into IGAL and, through it, into you. Your thought pattern and, depending on what you submit, a view into your business, feelings and problems. I get to learn about many things I wouldn’t have known about and, depending on your language skills, many times I have to make an educated guess as to what you are trying to say. And, maybe, that is the most fun; solving a puzzle and making it come out right.
I feel as if I am standing on an orange crate somewhere with the palm of my hand over my eyes. Scanning and observing, making sure we are all accounted for and taken care of. Making sure there are no dangers and we remain tranquil.
Ahhh, the pictures in your INSIDER! They are to the point, go with the story, explain it a little more. Many times, and I assure you it is by design, those visual explanations of the complex issues or essays are provided in a humorous and sarcastic manner. Alex Koerfer is responsible for that. By lending his personality, great eye, talent and experience he makes us better.
None of this would even take place if Sarah Leonache was not around, processing the information, watching over it. When warranted, she provides her invaluable opinions and counsel.
Of course, Beverly Leonache is present when needed. And, we thank her for it.
So, why do I love editing, writing and reading the INSIDER?
It IS fun!
As we always say: those of you who read us-thank you; those that don’t-shame on you.
