Lots of things have happened since EUROGRUP joined the IGAL NETWORK in 2015, both professionally and personally.
We are now a firm with a staff of 25 employees covering all the areas from accounting, tax compliance and advisory, payroll, labour and legal advisory and a new Audit division since I have passed the exam to become a Certified Auditor in this year 2024 (in Spain it is quite an accomplishment as it is an exam given every two years. It lasts six hours and the answers are required to be written by hand. Only 17.5% of candidates taking it actually pass.
EUROGRUP is still a one-stop-shop firm with a boutique service point of view and adaptable to our client’s necessities. This vision has made our revenues increase significantly this FY24 and we will continue on the same path as this goal represents our values.
This growth made our previous office on Avinguda Pau Casals too small, so we moved in 2019 to a new office at Via Augusta, 223, 1st floor, 08021 – Barcelona (500 square meters). We have recently also opened a small branch in Madrid at Paseo de la Castellana, 130, 9th floor, 28046 – Madrid.
The COVID period, although tragic on a personal level, was an important event in the sector. Assuming that our services are perceived as commodities by our clients, the struggle that the COVID meant in our business model made most of the clients realize that the tax firms are indeed different from one another.
Additionally, we will face new challenges in Spain with the implementation of an “electronic invoice” (expected in FY25) which will change the necessities of our clients and will give more visibility to the Spanish Tax Office about the operations of the Companies.
We would like to apologize as we have not been as active as we anticipated in IGAL meetings. This is a flaw that we promise to correct. However, please feel free to ask for any help re. your domestic clients in Barcelona and Spain.
