Dear Friends and Colleagues,
First of all, I hope that you are all still keeping safe and healthy and will keep that way.
My sincere thoughts go out to all of you and particularly those in the countries that have been badly affected by the epidemic.
As you know we should have been in the process of preparing our journeys to Bordeaux and we shall all miss meeting up with our friends at what looked like a fantastic meeting. However, it is only postponed, and the wine and food specialists will, at a later date, be able to give free rein to their passion. The culture and architecture enthusiasts will have time to swot up on what is to see and do in Bordeaux, we may even be able to economise on guides…
On a more serious note, we are to be refunded all the deposits made to the hotel and most of the restaurants, due to the confinement and lack of staff working this may take a little while, however, you can already let Beverley have your details if you wish to be refunded rather than leave it in your account and this will be done as soon as IGAL has been reimbursed.
Finally, please remember that IGAL is a pool of resources and you should use it, if and when necessary, solidarity is the name of the game.
Advice, help or just a chat often makes a big difference at the moment.
